Took a break from the nail challenge. I just didn’t have the time to do intricate nail art today. This is Sephora by OPI’s Havana Dreams followed by two coats of Revlon’s Whimsical. On the left is the polish as is and on the right is a top coat of Essie’s Matte About You! Back to the nail challenge next paint job. (Taken with instagram)

Day 23 of the 30 day nail challenge: inspired by a movie! The movie I was inspired by was Exit Through the Gift Shop. A movie about graffiti artists, mainly Bansky and Mr. BrainWash. This design is a replication of one of Bansky’s street artworks. OPI’s Moon Over Mumbai for the base, Essie’s Really Red for the balloon and Essie’s Licorice for the girl and balloon string. Just as a size reference the girl is only 1 centimeter. (Taken with instagram)
Day 22 of the 30 day nail challenge: inspired by a song! The song I was inspired by is Underoath’s A Boy Brushed Red Living in Black and White. I used Essie’s Russian Roulette, Milani’s White On the Spot and Sinful Color’s Time Off for an outline manicure using all the colors from the song title. (Taken with instagram)
Cloud tutorial by request! Paint your nails sky blue. Using a dotting tool or the end of a bobby pin, dot clusters of black for rain clouds. After the black has dried go over with slightly smaller white dots using the same technique. Happy Spring everyone! (Taken with instagram)
Day 21 of the 30 day nail challenge: Inspired by a Color! My inspiration was the gorgeous blue spring sky this morning. I used Sephora by OPI’s Havana Dreams for the sky, Sally Hansen’s Black nail art pen for the cloud outlines, Sinful Color’s Bad Chick white nail art bottle for the white clouds and Sinful Colors Time Off nail art bottle for the birds on the telephone wire.
